Columbus Day 2023 Regular Schedule

Town Offices will be open on regular schedule on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9th.  Trash service will run on regular schedule on Monday.  Tax payments will be accepted inside Town Hall, through our Drop Box location, plus online through the website (online payments incur additional fees.)   Pay by Mail:  You can always make a check payable to the Town of Maggie Valley and pay by mail. Please include the bottom portion of your tax bill and write your parcel identification number in the memo field of your check.  We accept postmark as date received for tax payments. If you would like to receive a receipt, include your email address or a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Municipal Elections

The next election will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, for the Town of Waynesville, Town of Maggie Valley, Town of Canton, and the Town of Clyde.  Only residents within the town limits of Waynesville, Maggie Valley, Canton, and Clyde are eligible to vote.  Photo ID is required for voting. In-person, Early Voting will begin on Thursday, October 19 and end on Saturday, November 4.  Early voting will be held at the Senior Resource Center at 81 Elmwood Way, Waynesville NC.  If you do not vote during the Early Voting period, you will need to go to your assigned precinct on Tuesday, November 7.  If you are not registered to vote in Haywood County, you need to do so by October 13, 2023.  Check out all election details here!

Town Executive Assistant The Town of Maggie Valley is seeking a self-motivated, technology savvy team mate to serve as the administrative support employee for the Town’s Administrative Offices. Emphasis of the work is clerical and administrative support functions for Town Manager, as well as other departments as necessary and required. Work may include activities related to billing and collections, purchasing, customer service, records management, and other administrative support functions. Work is supervised by the Town Manager. Proposed Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Budget

The Proposed Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Budget for the Town of Maggie Valley has been presented to the Board of Aldermen and is available for public inspection at the Town Hall from 8am to 5pm weekdays.  View the Proposed FY 2023/24 Budget Presentation here.  View the Proposed Sewer and Solid Waste Fees here and the Proposed Planning and Zoning Fee Schedule here.  View Proposed Administrative Fees here.  The Maggie Valley Board of Aldermen will hold a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget on June 20, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Town Hall, for the purpose of receiving comments on the proposed budget. Persons wishing to be heard are invited to make written or oral comments.

Trash and Recycling Update May 23

Trash and Recycling Update One of the Town Contracted (CWS) Garbage Trucks did not run the regular route yesterday, due to a sick driver.  There is ONE TRUCK to run both routes in Town again today.  The driver and helpers will try their best to complete both trash and recycle routes today but in all likelihood, the recycling will not be completed until tomorrow. From CWS:   We are confident that we have a solid recovery plan to ensure we get all stops covered with minimal service interruption. Please leave your brown trash toter out, if it has not been emptied and also place your blue recycle toter out for service. We are sorry for the disruption of service!
